The Mayor's Charity Trust Fund - (reg no 295702) The Mayor of Camden,s Charity Trust Fund is different from all other London Mayor’s Charities because it is a local charlty, set up in 1986 to help elderly disabled and needy peop'e in the Borough. AII funds raised go directly back to help residents of the Borough. The Trust is independent of the London Borough of Camden. The Trust is administered by a Management Committee which is chaired by the Mayor. The Committee consists of 10 trustees and several individuals from a variety of backgrounds includIng former Mayors, statutory bodies business commerce and the voluntary sector. Income for the Trust comes mainly from fundraising events organised by or with the involvement of the Committee members and from donations from individuals and businesses. The Trust exists to give grants to people in need who have exhausted all other sources of funding. The demands on the Trust Fund are ever-increaslng and the Trust is continually seeking to attract new sources of Income and extend existing ones to expand its charitable work. |
